Rosacea Awareness Month

Rosacea Awareness Month Targets Millions Who Are Left Untreated

Although the physical and emotional turmoil suffered by many of the estimated 14 million Americans with rosacea has been well documented, medical data indicate that less than 10 percent are receiving treatment for the disease. April has been designated Rosacea Awareness Month by the National Rosacea Society to encourage those who suffer from this conspicuous and often life-disruptive facial disorder to seek medical help before it reaches advanced stages.

Rosacea Awareness Month Aims To Demystify Widespread Disorder

Rosacea's symptoms have been described in literature and depicted in art for more than 700 years, yet this common but little-known condition remains a mystery to most Americans. April was designated Rosacea Awareness Month by the National Rosacea Society to increase public understanding of rosacea and encourage people who may suffer from the disorder to seek professional diagnosis and appropriate therapy.
