NRS Launches New Web Section on Causes of Rosacea

Posted on: By: nrs-admin

The National Rosacea Society is pleased to announce a new section within rosacea.org on the potential causes of rosacea.

Throughout the years, many theories have emerged as to the origins of the disorder, including defects in the immune system and the nervous system, changes to facial blood vessels, the overgrowth of Demodex mites or microbes, genetics and more. While the exact causes are still unknown, ongoing medical research -- including a multitude of studies funded by the NRS’s Research Grants Program -- is now making great strides to uncover the mysteries behind this widespread and chronic disorder.
