NRS Offers New Booklet
The National Rosacea Society has introduced the first patient education booklet on rosacea that incorporates the new standard classification system for rosacea, developed by 17 rosacea experts worldwide and published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. The new booklet, called "Understanding Rosacea," is available free of charge by writing the Society or calling its toll-free number at 1-888-NO-BLUSH.
The educational booklet identifies the primary and secondary features of rosacea, and includes patient photographs showing the most common patterns of signs and symptoms, designated as subtypes. The booklet also outlines potential causes and general treatment options, and identifies the most common environmental and lifestyle factors that may trigger flare-ups in various individuals.
